Workshops on Six Sigma Capabilities for Countering Business Challenges

Students of the Manufacturing & Operations Club at the Indian School of Business (ISB) partnered with the Breakthrough Management Group India (BMGI) for a series of Workshops on Six Sigma Capabilities for Countering Business Challenges at the ISB’s Mohali campus.

isb-studentDesigned to augment student learning outside the classroom, the objective of these workshops was to help students acquire advanced problem solving skills that will help them in the future when they step into the corporate world. They were taught concepts of Lean Six Sigma Green belt which is a structured problem solving techniques to solve complex business problems like reduction of product defects, increase in productivity etc. In addition students also had a practical hands on learning opportunity as they worked on a live project.

The diverse backgrounds of students such as finance, operations, marketing etc enriched the discussion as they shared examples from across industries drawing on their respective work experience.

Gautam Chawla, the coordinator for Learning & Development shared that ISB was very happy to have engaged BMGI recognized for their best-in-class workshops on structured problem solving such as Black Belt (BB) / Green Belt (GB).
