Course Description

Breakthrough Management Group, India (BMGI India)in association with Det Norske VERITAS AS (DNVAS) a leading certification body brings to you this course, which will help you conduct 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits as per the ISO 14001:2004 requirements.

This course is designed to provide a complete perspective on developing, implementing and auditing an EMS. It provides a clause wise understanding on ISO 14001:2004 and ts interpretation. It also provides details on identification and evaluation of aspects; applicable environmental legislation and its interpretation including compliance. Further, this course provides a complete understanding on planning, conducting and closing audits effectively. This Certification Program is focused on building competent EMS (ISO1 4001) Implementers and Auditors

60% marks on the exam(90 minutes)and continual assessment
BMGI and DNV instructors are allLead auditorswith a minimum of 15 years of experience in theEnvironment,Health and Safety and Quality field. Regarded as some of thefinest trainers in the world,all BMGI instructors are required to complete a rigorous certification process themselves to demonstrate their mastery andexpertise of theintegrated (QHSE) management systemsmethodology.

 
Faculty Profile

Namrata Heads the EHS and Food Safety practice at BMGI India, Mumbai (previously Qualteam certification Services). She has over 15 years of experience in the EHS and food Safety domain. At BMGI, Namrata develops leads and maintains the overall Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental Management (SHE) practice, ensuring implementation of the relevant management systems in Indian and Overseas client organizations. She assists BMGI India clients with a wide variety on EHS and ood safety training, audit and consulting interventions including Corporate Sustainability Reporting using international tools. She also leads the development of Safety Health and Environment related products at BMGI India.

Prior to joining BMGI, she was working with Det Norske Veritas (DNV). At DNV she was responsible for the following:
  • Conducting and leading audits for ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9000, HACCP and SA 8000. Development of auditors for various management systems.
  • Ensuring execution of food safety (HACCP) audits, training and new product development in food sector for Region India, Middle East and South East Asia.
  • Ensuring consistent (quality) delivery of EMS Trainings by other DNV trainers in India and Region Middle East (ME) and South East Asia (SEA). Responsible for Technical review and future development of the course as per IEMA–U.K. Guidelines and requirements.
Prior to her employment with DNV, she was working as an Environmentalist at Global Environmental Technology Services for a short duration of one year. Her responsibilities included Liaison with Government Authorities, technical support on DMP, EIA etc. She has also worked with Dr. Reddy’s Labs in their Sales and Marketing department.

In USAshe has done extensive research on toxicity of ammonia in sediments and water, storm water toxicity to aquatic organisms, toxic effects of Poly chlorinated biphenyls and participated in various forums under Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC).

Namrata has several publications to her credit.
She is an MS. Environmental Sciences from Wright State University Ohio, USA.She was a member of SETAC– Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, while in the US.

  • Conducted over 75 Public Training andIn-house Lead Auditor courses for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and Over 25 awareness courses and seminars in India and overseas (Iran, Dubai, Egypt, and Vietnam).
  • Conducted over 2000 man-days of audits for various management systems including Health, Safety (including food safety), Environment and Quality.
  • Conducted over 10 Food Safety (HACCP) auditors public training course in India and overseas.
  • Conducted over 10 International Safety Rating System audits / assessments for steel, oil & gas and power sectors in India and Cement Industries in South Africa.
  • Modern Safety Management and Accredited Auditors Trainings conducted for Oil and Gas Sector (Command Petroleum, Enron Oil and Gas, ONGC, Hitech Drilling and Directorate General for Safety).
  • Unilever protocol audits conducted for Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Care for 15 plants including Soaps and Detergents, Best Foods, Personal Care andresearch and development.
